Who is it for?
The programme is for children and parents where adolescent to parent/carer violence has been identified, professionals are involved with the family and both parties wish to make positive changes.
What does is involve?
Potential participants are referred to Media Academy Cymru’s Triage Team by the Police if they have committed an arrestable offence. If the participant agrees to take part in the programme, they will not receive a criminal record for the offence.
The four week programme involves sessions focused on communication, emotional literacy, positive parenting, cognitive functioning, active listening and creative writing.
The programme provides referral to specialist services where unmet needs are identified.
